Leo's Sister Wins Grand Victrix!

It's been a while since we updated, and we have lots of news! Our Kyrie/Leo puppies all went to wonderful new homes in June. We have two here in Texas with us and one in Arizona. Our next litter is tentatively scheduled to arrive in June/July of next year, ready to go to new homes in August/September. Stay tuned!

In August, at our National Shiloh Shepherd Specialty Show, Leo won himself a THIRD National Select award for being one of the top-winning Shiloh Champions of the year! His sister, Ginger, outdid him--she won Grand Victrix, essentially the highest award a Shiloh girl can get! She was the #1 female Champion of the year. Congratulations, Ginger!

We should be hitting some shows this fall and winter, and hopefully reporting some victories for Leo, Kyrie, and even their daughter Astra, above, who will be giving showing a try. :) Wish her luck, everyone!

First Kyrie/Leo Litter Arriving Soon!

Kyrie is due to whelp her very first litter this coming week! Go to our "Puppies" page for more news on our imminent new arrivals. :)

We're planning a load of events for this coming summer and fall, including dog shows in Hutto, Tulsa, and OKC, the Dog Days of Denton Pet Expo, and the Texas Pet Expo in Plano! If you would like to meet our pack, I'll be announcing dates and locations for all of those events as they approach. Thanks and keep checking back!

Meet The Breed Booth at the Texas Pet Expo!

Come on out and meet some Real Deal ISSR Shiloh Shepherds at the Texas Pet Expo in Plano, Texas, November 6th and 7th! We will be there with Leo and Kyrie in our outdoor Meet The Breed booth, and several other Shilohs are planning to attend throughout the two days as well. We'll have literature, cards, and handouts with information about our beloved breed, as well as Breed Rescue information. We hope to see you there!!

Dates for CSSC Shiloh Specialty Show announced!

Our local chapter of the Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club of America is the CSSC (Central Southwest States Chapter). We have just announced an ISSR Shiloh Shepherd specialty to be held at the Riverwind Shilohs farm in Oklahoma City on June 12th and 13th! Legendary judge, breeder, and author Fred Lanting will be our judge and will also be giving a show handling seminar on Saturday. The show will be on Sunday. We'll be there, and taking lots of photos to update the dogs' blogs and this website with!

Hello and welcome to Sparta Shilohs! I'm in the process of adding new photos and updating information today in preparation for our upcoming Thanksgiving Surprise...stay tuned! We are working on our Events calendar for the coming year as well, so that you'll know where to find us and our dogs if you'd like to meet and see them in person!
