Welcome to the Sparta Shilohs Rescues and Rehomes page!
Because of our excellent Litter Evaluation program, where every pup is carefully assessed and sent to the home most suitable for them, very few ISSR Shilohs come up for rehome. Those that do you can find on our official Breed Rescue site:
ISSR Shiloh Shepherd Breed Rescue
More common are adults up for rehome. Because we are working on expanding our gene pool so we can go for breed recognition with organizations such as the AKC, our breeders must occasionally rehome adults who are done breeding so that they can keep working with the new generation!
In most cases, ISSR Licensed Breeders and LBIT's (breeders in training) raise their dogs in their own homes or in small kennel arrangements. We work hard to make sure each dog gets individual training and socialization. Rehome-ready adults are often still young--age three to six--and have years ahead of them. They are generally spayed or neutered before being rehomed. Being older dogs, they tend to be calmer, better-behaved family members. Please help to give one of these lovely Shilohs their new forever home!

If there is an ISSR Breeder whose Shilohs you like and you are looking for an older dog, never be afraid to contact them to ask if they have any adults coming up for rehome.
